PC solid sheet made of polycarbonate material,which is a very
strong and resilient thermoplastic material,with lightweight and
capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, either hot or cold.
While polycarbonate roofing may not be the best option for an
entire house; it is ideal for other structures such as decks,
garages, patios, sheds, and conservatories. Polycarbonate solid
sheet is also frequently used for pool covers, or for roofing on
industrial warehouses. Being virtually unbreakable with 250 times
the impact strength of float glass and 30 times that of acrylic,
polycarbonate panels are a great product for a wide variety of
outdoor uses.

The process of manufacturing polycarbonate solid sheet typically
involves the following steps
Raw material preparation: The first step is to prepare the raw materials, which usually
include bisphenol A and phosgene. These materials are mixed
together in a reactor vessel and heated to produce a polycarbonate
resin.
Extrusion: The polycarbonate resin is then fed into an extruder, which melts
the resin and extrudes it through a die to form a continuous sheet.
The sheet is then cooled with a water bath or air cooling system to
solidify the material.
Co-extrusion: Some manufacturers may use a co-extrusion process, where a thin
layer of UV-resistant material is added to the surface of the
polycarbonate sheet during the extrusion process. This layer
provides additional protection against UV radiation and helps to
prevent the sheet from yellowing over time.
Cutting and shaping: Once the sheet is cooled and solidified, it is cut to the desired
length and width using a saw or a CNC cutting machine. The edges of
the sheet may also be finished with a router or a flame polisher to
smooth out any rough edges.
Quality control: The finished polycarbonate solid sheet is then inspected for
quality control, including thickness, flatness, and clarity. The
sheet may also undergo additional testing, such as impact
resistance, chemical resistance, and UV resistance, to ensure that
it meets the required specifications.
Packaging and shipping: The final step is to package the polycarbonate solid sheet and
ship it to the customer or distributor. The sheet is typically
wrapped in protective film and packed in a sturdy box to prevent
damage during transport.
